We are seeking an experienced Petroleum Engineer with 6 to 8 years of industry experience to support Wells Permitting activities and regulatory submissions. The role is responsible for reviewing and preparing documentation required for Applications for Permit to Drill (APD), coordinating permit-related workflows, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements through various permitting portals. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical Understanding of drilling operations, regulatory permitting requirements, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in MS- Office applications.
Key Responsibilities
Review and validate technical and regulatory documents required for the preparation and submission of Applications for Permit to Drill (APD) for US wells.
Prepare, review and maintain key supporting documentation for well permit applications.
Create and manage Master Applications and Cloning Applications to support efficient permit processing.
Review, validate, and prepare sundry application and related documentation within customer and federal/state regulatory permitting portals.
Ensure permit packages are complete, accurate, and compliant with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
Coordinate with drilling, subsurface, Geos, land, regulatory, and operations teams to gather required information for permit submissions.
Track permit status and support timely resolution of regulatory comments and requests.
Maintain organized records and documentation associated with well permitting activities throughout its lifecycle.

Support continuous improvement initiatives related to permitting processes, document management, and regulatory compliance.
Measure compliance and report related data to Regulatory agencies throughout the life cycle of a well.
Consolidate all drilling permit tracking records in the tracking sheet as per daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual requirement.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure and notify drill permits related data accuracy and completeness.
Required Skills
Knowledge of federal and state drilling regulations.
Experience in working with regulatory agencies and compliance requirements.
Ability to work independently while coordinating across multidisciplinary teams.
Strong understanding of well life cycle, drilling operations and well permitting process.
Experience preparing and reviewing permit applications and supporting documentation.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and document quality control.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Effective stakeholder management and teamwork skills.

Work Experience
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related engineering discipline, 6 to 8 years of experience in petroleum engineering, wells operations, drilling engineering, regulatory compliance, or wells permitting activities.
Experience with well permitting processes and regulatory documentation is preferred.
Familiarity with AFMSS and NMOCD permitting systems is highly desirable.
