Hyriko (“Hyriko”, “we”, “us”) operates the Hyriko website (hyriko.com) and the Hyriko mobile app (together, the “Service”). The Service aggregates publicly available job and internship listings from third-party sources and presents them in one place for students and early-career job seekers in India. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By using the Service you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Information we collect

We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the Service.

• Email address — only if you choose to subscribe to job alerts. We use it solely to send the job-alert emails you requested and to let you unsubscribe.
• Alert keywords / preferences — the roles, skills, or filters you ask us to match for your alerts.
• Saved jobs & preferences — jobs you favorite and your in-app settings are stored locally on your device (browser storage / app storage), not on our servers.
• Search and usage data — search terms and filters you apply, and basic, aggregated analytics (e.g. pages viewed) used to improve the Service. We do not use this to identify you personally.
• Technical data — standard request data such as device/browser type and approximate region, handled by our hosting and infrastructure providers.

We do not require you to create an account, and we do not collect names, phone numbers, resumes, or payment information.

How we use information

• To send the job-alert emails you subscribed to.
• To operate, maintain, and improve the Service and its search/filtering.
• To detect, prevent, and address abuse, spam, or technical issues.
• To comply with applicable law.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone.

Job listings and third-party links

Listings shown in the Service are aggregated from publicly available sources and company career pages. When you tap “Apply”, you leave Hyriko and are taken to a third-party website (e.g. the employer’s or platform’s site), which has its own privacy practices. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those third-party sites, and we do not control the application process or any data you submit there.

Service providers

We use trusted third parties to operate the Service. They process data only on our behalf:

• Supabase — database and storage for listings and alert subscriptions.
• Vercel — website and API hosting.
• Email delivery provider — to send job-alert emails.
• Google AdSense— to display advertisements. See the “Advertising and cookies” section below for details on the cookies used and how to opt out.

Advertising and cookies

To keep Hyriko free, we display advertisements served by Google AdSense, a third-party advertising service provided by Google. Advertising partners, including Google, use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads and measure their performance.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to our website and other websites.
• Google’s use of advertising cookies (including the DoubleClick / DART cookie) enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the internet.
• Ads shown to users in the European Economic Area, the UK, and Switzerland are subject to a consent prompt (a Google-certified consent management platform), and personalised ads are shown only where consent is given.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices. Data retention

We keep your alert email and keywords until you unsubscribe or request deletion, after which they are removed. Locally-stored data (saved jobs, settings) stays on your device until you clear it or uninstall the app. Aggregated, non-identifying analytics may be retained to understand usage trends.

Your choices and rights

• Unsubscribe anytime via the one-click link in any alert email.
• Access or delete your data — email us at contact@hyriko.com and we will action your request.
• Clear saved data by clearing app/browser storage or uninstalling the app.

Children's privacy

The Service is intended for users aged 16 and older and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to safeguard your data and limit what we collect.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide notice within the Service.
