We are currently seeking a Systems Administration Senior Associate - Public cloud (AWS / Azure / GCP) to join our team in Bangalore, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).
G5 – Public Cloud Support Engineer (Level 1)
Role Summary
The Public Cloud Level 1 Support Engineer is responsible for providing first-line technical support for cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role focuses on incident logging, initial troubleshooting, monitoring, and escalation while ensuring high availability and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Incident & Request Management
Monitor cloud infrastructure and services (VMs, storage, networking, databases).
Log, categorize, and prioritize incidents and service requests using ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Jira, etc.).
Provide first-level troubleshooting and resolution for common cloud issues.
Escalate complex issues to Level 2/Level 3 teams as required.
Cloud Operations Support
Support basic provisioning and de-provisioning of cloud resources.
Assist in managing user access, IAM roles, and permissions.
Monitor alerts related to performance, availability, and security.

Perform basic health checks and system validations.
Monitoring & Alerts
Use monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, CloudWatch, Stackdriver, etc.) to track system health.
Respond to alerts, identify root cause (basic level), and take corrective actions.
Maintain system uptime by reacting promptly to incidents.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate records of incidents, resolutions, and procedures.
Update knowledge base articles for recurring issues.
Generate basic operational reports and dashboards.
Customer/Stakeholder Communication
Provide timely updates to users/customers on issue status.
Ensure clear communication during incidents and outages.
Maintain SLA compliance and service quality standards.
Required Skills
Technical Skills
Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP).
- Familiarity with:
Virtual Machines / EC2
Storage services (S3, Blob, etc.)
Networking (VPC, subnets, DNS basics)
- Basic OS knowledge:
Windows Server / Linux fundamentals
- Understanding of:
Ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Remedy)
Monitoring tools
Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Bash) is a plus.
Soft Skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Good communication (verbal & written).
Customer-focused mindset.
Ability to work in 24/7 shift environments.
Team collaboration and willingness to learn.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
0–2 years of experience in IT support, cloud support, or help desk.
Entry-level cloud certifications (preferred but not mandatory):
AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)
Google Cloud Digital Leader
