Job Overview
At TE Connectivity, Strategic Sourcing team is responsible for developing and executing multi-year sourcing strategies across assigned products, commodities, suppliers, and parts/services. This role drives value creation through supplier optimization, cost competitiveness, risk mitigation, and strong cross-functional collaboration. The “Strategic Sourcing Lead” partners with Engineering, Operations, Product Management, and Regional Procurement teams to ensure best-in-class supplier performance across quality, delivery, cost, and innovation, while enabling supply chain resilience and business growth. Our teams demonstrate advanced proficiency in strategic procurement capabilities—spanning commercial acumen, complex negotiations, global sourcing strategy, and end-to-end product lifecycle management—consistently delivering results aligned with TE’s governance and compliance standards.
KEY RESPONSBILITIES:

Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management
Develop and execute FG sourcing strategies aligned to business growth, including:
o Supplier strategy through segmentation (Grow / Maintain / Exit) o Develop a resilient, cost-competitive, and scalable supplier ecosystem across China+1, SEA, India, North America. o Make vs. Buy analysis
Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers to strengthen supply base and mitigate geopolitical risks
Lead supplier consolidation initiatives to optimize cost, scale, and operational efficiency
RFQ, Negotiation & Contracting
• Manage end-to-end sourcing lifecycle:
o RFQ preparation and execution o Commercial and technical quote analysis o Supplier negotiations (Price, Terms, Lead time, MOQ etc) o Sourcing Committee approvals and business award

Ensure supplier capability and capacity alignment with demand
Operations & Execution Excellence
Ensure data accuracy in purchasing systems:
o Info records, pricing, Incoterms, MOQ, lead times
• Support SCM through:
o MOQ optimization o Inventory models (VMI, consignment)
Collaborate with SCM teams for execution and planning alignment
• Support tactical procurement on:
o Inventory issues o Invoice blocking
Compliance & Governance
• Ensure supplier compliance with:
o RoHS, REACH, Conflict Minerals o TE supplier standards and portal requirements
Support ISO processes and audits
Ensure accurate reporting in operational and financial tools
Core Competencies

What your background should look like
Generally requires Bachelors degree in appropriate field with a minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible professional level experience; Masters degree or higher or local equivalent may be preferred at this level
