About the role:
We are seeking an experienced and technically strong finance professional to be part of the Global Financial Reporting team for Ind AS and Financial Reporting. The role will be responsible for providing technical accounting guidance on complex business transactions, driving financial reporting excellence across the Group, supporting implementation of accounting standards, partnering with auditors and business teams, and ensuring consistent application of Ind AS across all entities. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical accounting capabilities, excellent analytical skills, and prior experience with a Big 4 firm in Audit, Accounting Advisory, or Financial Reporting.

Act as the Centre of Excellence (COE) for Ind AS and Financial Reporting matters across the Group and provide technical accounting support to businesses and finance teams.
Provide accounting guidance on complex and non-routine transactions including acquisitions, disposals, business combinations, mergers, demergers, restructurings, treasury transactions, share-based payments, and other strategic initiatives.
Draft and review technical accounting memorandums, accounting position, accounting policy documents, and other complex accounting matters.
Support preparation and review of quarterly and annual financial statements, disclosures, and accounting assessments in compliance with Ind AS requirements.
Evaluate the impact of new accounting standards, amendments, interpretations, regulatory announcements, and emerging reporting requirements and drive implementation across the Group.
Review accounting conclusions prepared by finance teams and ensure consistency with Group accounting policies and Ind AS requirements.
Partner with statutory auditors, internal auditors, consultants, and regulators on technical accounting and financial reporting matters and ensure timely closure of observations.
Support accounting assessments for mergers and acquisitions, purchase price allocations, impairment assessments, business combinations, and group restructuring projects.
Drive standardization of accounting policies, reporting practices, and governance frameworks across all entities and geographies.
Conduct technical accounting training sessions and knowledge-sharing programs for finance teams to strengthen Ind AS capability across the organization.
Support annual report preparation and review of financial statement disclosures to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
Work closely with Corporate Finance, Treasury, Tax, Legal, Secretarial, and Business teams to evaluate accounting implications of key business decisions and transactions.
Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and strengthening of financial reporting controls and governance frameworks.
Monitor emerging accounting developments and industry practices and recommend enhancements to accounting policies and reporting processes.
Skills:
CA with 4 to 6 years (preferably worked with Big 4 in Accounting Advisory (not audit / assurance)
Strong technical expertise in Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), including business combinations, consolidation principles, financial instruments, revenue recognition, leases, impairment, and financial statement disclosures
Experience in preparation and review of standalone and consolidated financial statements, annual reports, and regulatory disclosures
Experience in drafting technical accounting memorandums, accounting position papers and navigating through accounting implications of strategic business initiatives (M&A / Cash Moves / Restructuring)
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills with ability to interact with senior management and auditors
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under stringent reporting timelines
Good to Have
Experience in a large-scale India headquartered India listed manufacturing company with >5,000 crores revenues (FMCG not a must)
Prior experience in Accounting Advisory Services within a Big 4 firm
Exposure to IFRS and global financial reporting requirements.
Experience in handling technical accounting matters related to M&A, business combinations, carve-outs, and group restructurings.
Working knowledge of SEBI Listing Regulations and Companies Act financial reporting requirements.
Experience in preparing or reviewing Annual Reports and integrated reporting disclosures.
Familiarity with SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, eMerge, Blackline, or other reporting and consolidation tools.
