As an AVP of Software Engineering & Development you will:

Identify and mitigate risks using strong problem-solving abilities and effective communication

Design and implement scalable, efficient, and secure system solutions in alignment with business requirements in the Banking domain.

Proactively identify system bottlenecks using log analysis, metrics, and transaction tracing to address latency, throughput, and resource contention issues.
-
Ensure solutions meet required security, compliance, and operational readiness standards
-
Resolve application defects and provide solutions for application issues, ensuring timely and sustainable fixes.

Work closely with the Product Owners and others on requirements analysis, planning, project management, and execution.

These skills will help you succeed in this role

Strong experience in Java full stack development (frontend + backend).
-
Hands-on experience with AWS core services, Apache Camel.
-
Experience with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes/ECS/EKS).
-
Knowledge of microservices architecture and RESTful API development.
-
Experience in CI/CD tools.
-
Familiarity with databases (Oracle SQL).

Be a strong leader handling the team responsible for delivery and collaborate with other teams.

Education & Preferred Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

12+ years of experience in technology roles within financial industry
-
7+ years of experience with Java Full Stack
-
5+ years of experience with Oracle SQL
-
5+ years of experience with Transaction systems.
-
The following are considered a plus, but are not required
-
Experience with Payments Domain.
-
Experience with Temenos products.
-
Experience with MQ, Kafka
