Job Posting Title:
EE Automation Engineer, Central Hardware Systems
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced electrical engineering professional to join our Central Hardware Systems Automation team as an EE Automation Engineer. In this role, you will develop, enhance, and support internal automation and scripting solutions for high-frequency signal integrity (SI) and power integrity (PI) analysis across package and PCB design flows.
You will be a key member of a global team focused on enabling scalable, reliable EDA workflows for electromagnetic extraction, channel analysis, and electrical modeling. This role offers the opportunity to deliver impactful automation and methodology solutions that support engineers across the organization and improve design productivity, accuracy, and turnaround time.
The successful candidate will collaborate with SI/PI engineers, package modeling engineers, and EDA support teams to develop automation, troubleshoot design-flow issues, and provide methodology guidance for commercial and custom tools. Our electrical tools portfolio includes Cadence Sigrity, Siemens EDA / Mentor tools, Ansys EM solutions, Keysight, CST, and Polar.
In addition to automation development, you will provide electrical modeling support for PCB and package analysis across memory and high-speed serial interfaces, recommend optimal modeling and extraction techniques, and contribute to tool installation, flow documentation, and knowledge-base content for Windows and Linux environments.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, along with 4+ years of experience working with SI/PI tools. Candidates should also have 2+ years of experience in development and debugging using scripting or programming languages such as Python or VBScript.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with SI/PI and RF software applications such as Ansys, Cadence Sigrity, CST, Keysight, or Siemens EDA / Mentor tools
- Familiarity with circuit solvers such as ADS or HSPICE and full-wave electromagnetic solvers such as HFSS, CST Microwave Studio, PowerSI, or SIwave
