The Associate – Infrastructure Automation Engineer supports the development and execution of infrastructure automation to improve operational efficiency, reliability, and consistency across enterprise platforms.
This role exists to assist in reducing manual operational effort by contributing automation scripts, modules, and workflows within established enterprise automation frameworks and standards.
The role operates within a centrally governed automation enablement model and works under the guidance of Sr Associate, Lead, and Sr Lead Automation Engineers.
The Associate focuses on execution‑oriented automation tasks, learning enterprise automation practices, and contributing to platform and lifecycle automation initiatives while adhering to defined architecture, security, and governance guardrails.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automation scripts, modules, or workflows using approved tools and frameworks (e.g., Ansible, AWX, AAP).
- Support automation of infrastructure activities such as provisioning, configuration, patching, and basic lifecycle tasks.
- Modify and enhance existing automation under guidance to improve stability and efficiency.
- Assist with troubleshooting automation failures and basic production issues.
- Participate in testing, validation, and deployment of automation solutions.
- Support break‑fix activities and documentation updates for automation deliverables.
