In Group Technology, we manage most the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Microservices Development: Design, develop, and maintain microservices using Java 17+ (with Java 21 LTS) and Spring Boot 3.3.x including Spring Cloud 2023.x for microservices patterns. End-to-end integration experience of microservices with frontend systems using RESTful APIs and event-driven architecture

- Database Management: Develop and maintain databases using MySQL 8.x, PostgreSQL 15+, and Redis 7.x for caching and session management, optimizing for performance, reliability, and implementing database migrations using Liquibase or Flyway

- API Development: Create and document RESTful APIs using OpenAPI/Swagger specifications for seamless integration with frontend applications and third-party services. Experience with API Gateway (Spring Cloud Gateway or Kong) , GraphQL is a plus

- Feature Release: Collaborate with product teams and business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate business requirements into technical solutions, and implement new features following Domain Driven Design (DDD) principles, ensuring timely and successful releases

- Bug Fixing: Troubleshoot and resolve bugs in a timely manner using Test Driven Development (TDD) approach, maintaining high standards of code quality and performance through comprehensive unit and integration testing

- Application Updates: Regularly update applications implementing new features, addressing bugs, enhancing system performance, and following secure coding practices (OWASP Top 10 compliance) with production-quality code

- Upgrade Management: Manage upgrades of Spring Boot, backend databases, and cloud platform dependencies ensuring compatibility, improved performance, and maintaining zero-trust security architecture

- Production Support: Work with operations team to monitor and troubleshoot production issues using observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack/Splunk, Jaeger/Zipkin), participate in on-call rotations and conduct post-mortem analysis

- Deployment Automation: Deploy microservices using CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions), containerize applications with Docker, and orchestrate with Kubernetes (deployments, services, ingress, ConfigMaps)
