Within Microsoft Fabric, the Data Analytics team delivers the core analytics experiences that allow customers to turn data into insight and action. Spanning data engineering, data warehousing, data science, and AI, this team enables end-to-end scenarios on a single, unified platform. By bringing structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data together, the team is advancing our mission to provide a seamless analytics experience that drives real business impact at enterprise scale.

We are hiring a Principal Software Engineer to assist with the design and delivery of the next generation of engineering infrastructure behind Microsoft Fabric. In this role, you will drive core changes across both the product and its surrounding systems to enable rapid, predictable, and high-quality product releases.

You will tackle complex challenges such as deployment automation, cluster provisioning, branching strategies, and robust validation pipelines, leveraging cutting-edge technologies, including AI, to shift quality left and streamline engineering workflows.

Our work spans multiple teams and components across the Fabric SQL Data Warehouse and SQL Server ecosystem, with a strong emphasis on serving internal stakeholders like engineers and release managers.
