Grounded in Duty of Care standards and best practice, the Travel Risk Coordinator (TRC) - APAC region enables business travel, builds a positive security culture, and delivers proactive risk mitigation solutions for Amazonians traveling for work. The role spans the full travel lifecycle: pre-trip risk assessment and briefings, real-time monitoring and incident response during travel, and post-trip documentation, reporting, and continuous improvement.
The right candidate will be calm under pressure, empathetic with travelers in stressful situations, and comfortable making high-impact decisions independently. This is a role for someone who can balance operational traveler assistance needs and contribute to global strategic projects.
Key job responsibilities
Serve as a subject matter specialist in medical and security risks to travelers in the APAC region
Identify high-risk travel bookings and proactively engage travelers with mitigation guidance
Coordinate secure ground transportation requests and vendor management
Manage traveler medical and security incidents from escalation through resolution
Support Crisis Management Team activations
Maintain country/city advisories, hotel guidance, and pre-trip messaging
Complete After-Action Reviews, hotel assessments, and vendor audits
Track and report operational metrics aligned to the ISO 31030 Travel Risk Management Standard
Support TRM strategic programs as required

Complete After-Action Reviews from recent incidents and pull metrics for ISO 31030 compliance reporting
Contribute to strategic projects refining SOPs, piloting automation workflows, or supporting vendor audits
Serve as the connective tissue between travelers in the field and the broader TRM program, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks
About the team
The Travel Risk Management (TRM) team mitigates health, safety, and security risks to Amazon's business travelers and international assignees globally. Grounded in Duty of Care principles and aligned to the ISO 31030 Travel Risk Management Standard, TRM delivers end-to-end risk mitigation from pre-trip intelligence and traveler briefings through real-time monitoring, incident response, and continuous improvement. This coordinator role is essential to keeping the program operationally sound and scalable as Amazon's global footprint grows.
Basic qualifications
Experience in Incident Management, Threat Management, Corporate Investigations, Law Enforcement, Security Operations, Crisis Management or a related field that involves conducting threat assessments, workplace investigations, and/or incident response
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Experience managing real-time incidents (medical, security, or crisis) across multiple time zones
Preferred qualifications
Experience drafting, editing, and publishing written products such as incident reports, messaging products, and security alerts
2+" Years experience in Travel Risk Management
Familiarity with the ISO 31030 Travel Risk Management Standard or similar Duty of Care frameworks
Comfort with AI-enabled tools and automation platforms; willingness to adopt emerging technology
Fluency in written and spoken Hindi
Master's degree or equivalent in political science, security studies or related field
