Seastar is seeking a Supply Chain Technician to join our team in Sidney, BC. This hands-on role combines supply chain coordination and warehouse operations, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both administrative and operational work. You'll play a critical role in ensuring our products move efficiently through the supply chain while supporting manufacturing, R&D, and customer fulfillment activities.
This position offers broad exposure to supply chain operations, inventory management, manufacturing support, logistics, and regulated shipping processes, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a well-rounded career in supply chain and operations.
What You’ll Do:
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager this individual will be the primary operator of label printing equipment. In addition, they will provide administrative and inventory support functions to the Supply Chain department.
Supply Chain Operations & Label Control (60%)
Generate, verify, and release product, shipping, and accountability labels to support manufacturing, R&D, and distribution activities
Utilize the ERP system to manage daily workflow and update progress as printing is completed
Ensure label and shipment documentation accuracy in accordance with company quality procedures
Create and send order paperwork to Seastar's Amsterdam 3PL facility.
Receive batches and process shipments from the Amsterdam facility in the ERP system
Participate in inventory cycle counts
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
Use the ERP system to run reports and perform basic data analysis

Provide backup coverage for other Supply Chain and Customer Service functions
Warehouse Operations (40%)
Operate powered industrial vehicles, including forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe and efficient manner
Handle dangerous goods materials safely and in accordance with regulations
Receive and verify inbound shipments and store materials appropriately
Pick finished goods by retrieving items from racking and building pallets
Stage shipments for pickup, ensuring accuracy, proper labeling, and documentation
Load trucks safely and verify shipments prior to departure in compliance with regulations
Maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness
Complete TDG, IATA, and IMDG training, as provided by the company
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
2+ years of experience in supply chain, warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or a related environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
Strong attention to detail, organization, and data accuracy
Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Pay Transparency:
The expected pre-tax pay for this position is $48,500.00 - $78,775.00 Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
