Job Purpose:
The Section In-Charge is responsible for leading and overseeing all production activities within their section across three shifts, ensuring smooth operations, material availability, and adherence to the production plan. This role is pivotal in driving process optimization, improving equipment efficiency, and ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards. The Section In-Charge is tasked with managing resources, controlling costs, and implementing digital tools to streamline operations. By fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety, they ensure alignment with organizational goals, while leveraging data analytics to inform decision-making and enhance operational performance.
A. Concentrate Material Planning & Availability
- Prepare rolling concentrate material plans by using Blend optimization model aligned with smelter, SAP, Refinery, PMR feed requirements( in line with TOR ), production targets, stock norms, and shipment schedules.
- Monitor concentrate inventory across port, plant, yards, warehouses, and in-transit positions to ensure uninterrupted availability.
- Coordinate with commercial and procurement teams for shipment visibility, arrival schedules, allocation plans, and supply continuity.
- Track daily consumption, receipts, stock ageing, inventory coverage, and deviations against plan.
- Support proactive risk mitigation for feed shortages, shipment delays, quality variations, demurrage exposure, and operational constraints.
