Job Summary
The Senior Resident in Vascular & Endovascular Surgery is responsible for providing comprehensive inpatient, outpatient, emergency, operative, and perioperative care for patients with vascular diseases. The role includes assisting and independently performing procedures according to competency level, participating in emergency services, academic activities, research, and teaching undergraduate and postgraduate trainees. Responsibilities typically include managing arterial, venous, and lymphatic disorders using both open surgical and endovascular techniques under consultant supervision.
Clinical Responsibilities
Evaluate and manage patients in OPD, IPD, ICU, and Emergency.
Perform detailed history taking, clinical examination, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
- Manage vascular emergencies including:
Acute limb ischemia
Aortic emergencies
Vascular trauma
Dialysis access complications
Deep vein thrombosis
