This Position reports to:
Senior Engineering Manager
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as a design authority in automation engineering for metals process applications. Each day, you will handle assignments across multiple projects, ensuring delivery in a cost-effective and timely manner. You will ensure that all deliverables meet contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies.
The work model for the role is: #LI - Onsite
This role contributes to the Process Industries – Metals (INAU-PI, India) business in India.
Main stakeholders include customers, engineering teams, commissioning teams, and project managers.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Delivering engineering, application software development, FAT, commissioning, and service activities for automation projects.
- Preparing engineering documentation such as motor/component lists, I/O lists, and supporting panel design and manufacturing.
- Ensuring timely execution of projects including testing, simulation, and completed handover to customers.
- Supporting customers with technical service while collaborating with internal teams for installation and commissioning.

Qualifications for the role
- 8–12 years of experience in automation solutions within the metals industry.
- Extensive experience in PLC/DCS systems, application programming, and HMI development.
- Solid knowledge of automation hardware/software, communication protocols, and industrial IT systems.
