Design and develop reusable libraries and application programming interfaces for use across the bank. Design and develop software that is amenable for a greater automation of build, release testing and deployment process on all environments. Designing and developing high-volume, high-performance and high-availability applications using proven frameworks and technologies. Driving the adoption of software engineering principles, processes and best practices. Liaising with engineers, architects, business analysts and other key stakeholders to understand the objectives, requirements and options. Support the reuse and sharing of platform components and technologies within the software engineering teams. Deliver software components to enable the delivery of platforms, applications and services. Supporting and monitoring the technical progress against plans, while safeguarding functionality, scalability and performance and providing updates to stakeholders. Executes story refinement, definition of requirements and estimating work necessary to realise a story through the delivery lifecycle. Codes solution and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements. Write unit and integration tests, in automated test environments to ensure code quality. Ensure CI/CD best practices and automating tool stack. Skill Requirements
Skills
11 plus years of experience in Java full stack including Microservices, ReactJS, TypeScript , AWS, Spring, SpringBoot, SpringBatch, Pl/SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Junit, Mockito. Experience in Java, SpringBoot, Cloud, REST API, API Gateway, Kafka, ReactJS, TypeScript and API development life cycle. Experience of building cloud native microservices and APIs through an agile delivery team. Experience of designing standards and follow design patterns and driving end to end design changes cross-platforms. Experience of working with code repositories, bug tracking tools as well as experience of designing and implementing APIs. Experience of DevOps and Agile methodology and associated toolsets and methodologies. Experience in implementing CI/CD using Jenkins, TeamCity, GitLab etc. Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases. Experience of implementing programming best practice, especially around scalability, automation, virtualisation, optimisation, availability and performance. Strong communication skills with the ability to proactively engage with a wide range of stakeholders. Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their data services is a plus. Prior experience in Transaction Monitoring and Case Management will a plus. Preference will be given to candidates having experience in Financial Crime Case management tools.
