Microsoft's Consumer Finance team is seeking a Senior Finance Manager with strong analytical, financial, and business partnership skills to help drive strategy, planning, and execution across Microsoft's consumer businesses.
This role partners closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Business Planning, Operations, and Finance leaders to influence investments, shape business and product strategies, and deliver sustainable growth. A successful candidate will leverage data-driven insights, financial rigor, and business acumen to support decision-making across a diverse portfolio of products, services, and platforms.
This is a unique opportunity to work across multiple areas of the business, including portfolio planning, monetization and pricing strategy, revenue performance, investment prioritization, operational efficiency, and long-range planning.

Responsibilities
Partner with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Business Planning, Operations, and Finance leaders to drive financial and strategic outcomes across Microsoft's consumer businesses.
Lead forecasting, budgeting, long-range planning, and scenario analysis to support investment decisions, resource allocation, and business performance.
Develop data-driven insights and recommendations by analyzing business, financial, operational, customer, and market performance trends.
Evaluate growth opportunities, monetization strategies, business investments, and resource allocation decisions, identifying key risks, tradeoffs, and opportunities.
Drive executive business reviews and performance reporting, communicating key drivers, insights, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership.

Translate complex financial and operational results into clear, concise narratives that support decision-making and accountability.
Develop scalable financial models, frameworks, tools, and processes that improve decision-making, transparency, and operational efficiency.
Identify emerging trends, opportunities, and risks, and proactively influence actions that improve business outcomes.
Serve as a trusted finance partner, providing thought leadership and financial perspective to guide strategic decisions.

Required Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a matrixed organization.
Solid financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills.
Proven ability to influence decisions through data-driven insights and executive communication.
Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, evaluate tradeoffs, and solve complex business problems.
Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $97,600 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $125,000 - $206,400 per year.

Financial Analysis IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $77,800 - $153,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $102,200 - $169,900 per year.
