Radiotherapy Technologist

Job Responsibilities

• To make immobilization mould as advised by treating consultant.

• To position the patient with Moving Laser on the CT tabletop to Patients advised for CT Planning.

• To ensure proper positioning of patient in X-Ray table whenever required for verification film.

• To execute the planned treatment in the treatment machine and document the details in treatment prescription chart and Daily Treatment Register.

• To get hemogram done weekly and document.

• To ensure that patient is sent for weekly follow-up to the treating consultant.

• To send the treatment charts for prescription and replan whenever indicated.

• To give appointment to patients for daily treatment checking up the convenience of patient and availability of machine.

• To do emergency radiation of blood/blood products whenever required.

• To inform the Physicist for any problem in the machine. To check the positioning lasers daily and inform the Physicist if any deviation noted.

• To assist the Physician in dosimetry whenever required.

• To be present with the Service Engineer on breakdown servicing, whenever instructed and accept machine in working condition.
