Your role and responsibilities

In this role, leads a team of Research and Development (R&D) employees and support them in achieving the agreed R&D targets. Coaches and develops the team. Help manage technologies, platforms, and Intellectual Property (IP).

The role will support for the ABB India Ltd for Electrification Smart Buildings Business to be based at Nelamangala, BANGALORE, India.

You will be mainly accountable for:

- Conduct testing, validation, and qualification of low-voltage switchgear products as per IS, IEC, and international standards, including prototype, design verification, and validation testing.

- Develop test strategies, plans, qualification programs, and schedules, ensuring compliance with regulatory and certification requirements.

- Coordinate BIS, CPRI, ERDA, DEKRA, UL, and other certification activities, while collaborating with Product Management, Design, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams.

- Oversee root cause analysis, corrective actions, continuous improvement, and testing efficiency, supported by KPIs, dashboards, and certification tracking systems.

- Lead and mentor the testing and certification engineering team, while supporting cost optimization, value engineering, product quality, and reliability improvements.

Qualifications for the role:

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical, Electromechanical, or related Engineering discipline.
