Shall lead team ensuring technical solution meets clients expectations and standards
Estimate , plan ,assess and define risks , propose mitigation plan for system / subsystem design
Present the solution to principle engineers and get approvals
drive for solution implementation to ensure coverage to all necessary compliances
be a team player and a key leader and mentor for the team
Work Experience
Locomotive SME
Should have in-depth knowledge of Locomotives – Including strong knowledge of all systems and sub systems
Expertise in design specific to handle Desert Environments, Sealing, RAMS, Environmental Safety regulations
Experience of handling sub systems like Cab/ Platform / Compressed Air /CCP for a bigger Team and provide technical solutions to Team
Manage multiple Sub-system Leads to meet Program Targets
Should have experience handling Sealing design to meet Desert Sand, Iron ore environment
Should have experience of design, verification, FEA, hand calculations, PPAP
25+ years of experience in subsystems / component Design & Development of Locomotive / automobile / heavy industries
Should have strong proven experience in handling customers across multiple geographies and meeting resp customers processes and standards
Will be owning key CTQ like delivery, schedules, quality for all teams within multiple business units
Analyzing shop issues and providing solutions
Should have worked on concept generation using idea generation methods
Have good knowledge on new component introduction process, FMEA and validation process of components
Should be very good at GD&T, Tolerance stack-up, DFA/DFM/DFS
Knowledge to Interpret FEA Analysis reports
Strong knowledge in Industry Codes and Engineering standards like ASME, ISO & European specific standards
Should have minimum 8+ years of experience as checker / Reviewer / SME
Should have worked with cross-functional team of Designers, Engineers, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Field service and external consulting engineering teams
Should be able to generate Manufacturing drawings of various kinds (Sheetmetal, Castings, Forgings, Welding) with application of GD&T as applicable
Experience in in multi-CAD tools like Nx / Catia / Solidworks / Creo
