Amazon is one of the most recognizable brand names in the world and we distribute millions of products each year to our loyal customers Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) is looking for a Program manager II role which will be part of Milk Run Planning team (middle mile network) that connects first Mile and Last mile through various mode of transport. MR Planning team keeps the day-to-day operations running smoothly while managing costs effectively. Intracity Planning team specifically focuses on planning intracity trips for both short-term and long-term forecasted demand. What makes our work particularly challenging and exciting is the massive scale of vehicle operations, which drives the continuous push for automation solutions. The team is deeply motivated by the complex challenge of balancing network performance with cost efficiency, leading us to constantly innovate and simplify our processes. You'll be joining a collaborative environment where we tackle complex logistics challenges while working closely with various operational teams and stakeholders.
Key job responsibilities Required Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities Project management experience Stakeholder management experience Data-driven decision making Transportation/logistics knowledge preferred Key job responsibilities Drive optimization in trip planning for forecasted demand. Support automation initiatives to manage large-scale vehicle fleet operations. Improve cost metrics while ensuring network performance. Scale planning programs and related initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement planning solutions.
Basic qualifications
- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
Preferred qualifications
- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
