Part of the Supply Chain family, Procurement is responsible for over 30B Euro of material and services spend globally with more than 60,000 suppliers, over half of them in Customer Operations, Technology and Business Services. Getting the right services and materials, sustainably sourced and ensuring responsible procurement is critical to ensuring our brands with purpose grow.
Our teams work closely with the business to understand stakeholders needs, bring innovation to meet changing consumer, employees and customer’s needs, and drive financial value for Unilever through competitive buying. We’re at the forefront of digital procurement, bringing new tools and analytics to drive data-based decisions.
CUSTOMER OPERATIONS, TECHNOLOGY AND BUSINESS SERVICES (COTBS) COTBS is responsible for Unilever’s sourcing and supplier strategy and execution for all third-party spend across Logistics, Real Sate, Technology and Business Services, supporting the business requirements of Brands, Divisions, Markets, and functions to drive 4G growth through strategic supplier management, cost and value management, sustainability and innovation, aligned with Unilever strategy. The team manages an annual spend of ~6B Euro with a supplier base of about 40,000.
JOB PURPOSE
The role of the Logistics Procurement Director, Asia and Global Ocean Freight is responsible for the development and execution of the sourcing strategy for procurement of logistic services for all operations of Unilever in Asia including transportation, warehousing and pallets services as well as Global Ocean & Air Freight. This position business partners the Customer Operations VP’s of Asia and his team as well as Global Ocean & Air Freight Operations team.
WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
This Procurement Director is responsible for the architecture of the Asia and Global Ocean & Air Freight Procurement Logistics Strategy. This includes negotiation strategies, partnership engagement models, logistics cost modelling, fuel indexing strategies, bidding strategy development, contracting systems deployment, and cultivation of external logistics innovation.
- He/she will also be the guardian for execution/ overall KPI delivery of this strategy/ annual plans;
