This is a role within the Castrol organisation, and the successful candidate will become part of the Castrol ring-fence. If you are part of the ring-fence, it is expected that your employment will move with Castrol to new ownership.
What will you deliver?
Packaging Development & Innovation
Support development and execution of packaging projects for new product introduction, pack changes, innovation and business growth initiatives.
Work with internal customers and packaging suppliers to develop packaging designs, materials and specifications that meet business, operational and technical requirements.
Support evaluation of new packaging materials, formats, suppliers and technologies aligned with global packaging standards.
Sustainability Projects
Support packaging sustainability agenda including PCR implementation, recyclable packaging, lightweighting, material reduction and circular packaging solutions.
Work with suppliers and internal teams to identify and qualify sustainable packaging alternatives.
Support execution of sustainability projects in line with local regulatory requirements and global packaging priorities.
Cost Saving & Value Engineering
Identify and support packaging cost-saving opportunities through alternate materials, design optimization, supplier development and process improvement.
Conduct technical feasibility evaluations for cost-saving ideas without compromising packaging quality, performance or compliance.

Support mold trials, sample evaluation, dimensional checks and final qualification asper Global Test Protocols (GTP) before commercial implementation.
Packaging Qualification & Validation
Prepare and implement packaging qualification plans in line with Global Qualification Protocols.
Conduct and support packaging performance testing, filling trials, line trials, transit trials and storage trials.
Analyse trial results and prepare clear technical reports with recommendations for approval or improvement.
Ensure packaging qualification documentation is properly maintained.
Quality Improvement & Issue Resolution
Support investigation of packaging quality issues reported from plants, markets, suppliers or customers.
Assist in root cause analysis, corrective and preventive action plans and supplier improvement actions.
Work with suppliers and internal teams to improve packaging performance, consistency and reliability.
Procurement & Supplier Support
Provide technical support to local procurement teams for supplier identification, development, qualification and performance improvement.
Support supplier capability evaluations, audits and technical discussions.
Work with procurement and suppliers to ensure packaging materials meet required quality, supply and sustainability expectations.
Global Packaging Agenda
Support delivery of global packaging agenda including standardization, sustainability, innovation, supplier qualification and quality improvement projects.
Collaborate with global & local packaging procurement teams on cross-market technical projects.
Provide technical support for global packaging projects as and when required.
Create or Modify packaging development SOP, timelines & templates.
Experience
8 – 12 years of experience in packaging development for consumer goods, lubricants, personal care, or related industries.
Exposure to sustainability and recycled plastic projects is preferred.
Experience in driving packaging projects such as innovation, supplier introduction, cost saving, sustainability, value engineering and quality improvement.
Experience in filling line trials, transit trials, packaging testing and validation will be preferred.
Good communication, coordination and customer management skills
Should be flexible to work in different time zone to support global teams
