Role Overview

We are seeking a solution-focused Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with deep expertise in OpenShift Virtualization (KubeVirt) and bare metal foundations. This role prioritizes architectural understanding and ownership over tool-specific experience, with a strong emphasis on on-premises OpenShift VM platforms. Role Philosophy This is a solution-provider role, not a keyword-driven profile. Candidates are expected to understand the 'why' behind on-premises infrastructure, OpenShift VM management, and virtualization decisions. The ideal SRE demonstrates a solution-first mindset and end-to-end ownership. Core Responsibilities Design, operate, and support OpenShift platforms running on bare metal infrastructure. Own OpenShift Virtualization (KubeVirt) based VM workloads, including lifecycle management. Ensure platform reliability, scalability, and operational excellence. Act as a technical consultant, providing architectural guidance and solution design. Collaborate with application, platform, and infrastructure teams to deliver resilient solutions. Core Competencies Deep knowledge of OpenShift architecture and Operator lifecycle management. Strong understanding of application deployment patterns on OpenShift. Hands-on experience with OpenShift Virtualization (KubeVirt) and bare metal environments. Strong problem-solving ability in complex, on-premises environments. Tools & Technologies (Secondary) Experience with Ansible, GoLang, or similar tools is beneficial but not mandatory.
