The Manager – Supplier Quality is responsible for leading supplier quality assurance initiatives, with a strong focus on EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services), PCBA quality, Electromechanical components and supplier development. The role ensures all sourced and developed components comply with engineering specifications, reliability requirements, and quality standards.
This position requires deep expertise in electrical and electronic systems, supplier qualification, EMS quality processes, and strong leadership to drive continuous improvement across the supply base.
On a typical day you will:
Supplier Quality Management
Develop and implement supplier quality strategies aligned with organizational and customer expectations.
Lead supplier audits, assessments, and qualification ( EMS QMS audits).
Establish and maintain quality agreements, standards, and expectations with suppliers.
Monitor supplier performance using KPIs such as PPM, OTD (On-Time Delivery), and supplier scorecards.
New Product Development (NPD) & Qualification
Lead electrical components and PCBA development through:
Lead electrical components and PCBA Test plan preparation and finalization, Support for component qualification, validation, and reliability testing and review qualification test results and provide feedback and clearance and work for addressing the gaps and lead for closures.

Customer Complaints Analysis (FTB) , Corrective Actions and drive improvements with Proper RRCA/DIVE approach
Responsible for the Quick Response to the Customer Quality Complaints by Containment action and permanent action at supplier
Responsible for Review and approve Warranty Claims (AMT) and resolution support to external customers
Co-ordinate with Cross Functional Team (CFT) for the unresolved quality issues, customer concerns and drive quick resolutions
Plan and execute final shipment audit (outgoing product audits) to ensure defect free shipments to customers.
Responsible to manage and control the imported parts quality by working closely with overseas suppliers (China, Spain, Germany)
Quality Clinic Management (Part analysis centre) – Managing Quality clinic activities for customer (field) return materials, process line rejections using QCPC approach and drive for Parts disposals,
Drive for electromechanical and PCBA components / parts and sub systems reliability improvement through Sourcing and NPD / Engineering support.
Part of CFT in new projects (NPD) by Coordinating with LDC & FOD Team for current product challenges
Monitor and drive supplier performance improvement to meet business KPIs
Defect or Concern Analysis & Quality Judgment of Defective Parts or Process
Data Analysis & Problem Solving
Analyse quality data to identify trends and risks.
- Apply structured problem-solving methodologies:
8D , FTA (Fault Tree Analysis) , DOE (Design of Experiments) , DIVE / 5 Why
Drive defect reduction and reliability improvement initiatives.
Improve Supplier PPM and First Pass Yield .
On a typical day you will:
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics / Electrical Engineering
- 10+ years of experience in:
EMS manufacturing
EMS Industry Supplier Quality
EMS process and PCBA Quality Assurance
EMS Industry – Incoming Inspection , Line/ stage inspection, Final inspection, FAI, Out box audits , customer inspections, etc
EMS Line – Process validation and qualifications
Electrical Components, Systems and PCBA Failure analysis techniques
Professional Experience & Technical Expertise
- Strong knowledge of:
PCBA manufacturing processes and EMS industry practices
Electrical/electronic components and systems
Drawings, GD&T, and manufacturing processes
PCBA Testing process and tools like AOI , FPT, ICT, FCT ,PCBA X-ray testing and interpretation of test results ,etc
- IPC-A-610
PCBA EMS QMS standards.
Trouble shooting of electrical, electronics and PCBA and drive Root cause analysis and improvement actions
Drive continual improvement
- Expertise in:
APQP, DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans ,
PCBA Testing methods
PPAP Process execution, management and control
Reliability testing and qualification methods
SPC, MSA, Six Sigma, DOE methodologies
Process validation and capability studies improvements
PCBA Tester and fixture qualification
Electrical & Electromechanical components and Testing
Exposure to ISO 9001/14001/45001/ TS 22163:2017/13485: 2016/ 27001/ AS9100D/NADCAP AC 7120-21/ IATF 16949:201/SA 8000:201 Quality management system standards and compliance
- Strong:
