Roles and Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for the following:
Conduct requirement gathering sessions and perform As-Is analysis of existing databases and IT systems while mapping them to the organization's business and functional processes.
Design, develop, and implement large-scale enterprise databases based on business and technical requirements.
Analyse large-scale national-level databases and redesign or restructure them to meet evolving business requirements.
Redevelop, optimize, and modify legacy SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and database views to improve performance and generate the desired outputs.
Design, modify, and maintain logical and physical data models, including defining data structures, relationships, constraints, and integrity rules.
Ensure database security, data integrity, backup, recovery, and compliance with organizational security standards.
Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning to ensure high availability and scalability.
Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and support to application developers, database administrators, system administrators, and other project stakeholders.
Review database designs and implementation approaches to ensure adherence to industry best practices and organizational standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application development, system integration, and deployment activities.
