Role Objective:
The Lead Security is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the organization's security strategy across all real estate assets and corporate operations. The role ensures the protection of people, property, information, reputation, and business continuity through robust physical security systems, risk management programs, emergency response planning, and security governance.
The incumbent will lead security operations across the portfolio, manage security service providers, coordinate with law enforcement and government agencies, and establish best-in-class security practices that enhance tenant, customer, employee, and visitor safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Security Leadership
Develop and implement the organization-wide security strategy aligned with business objectives.
Establish security policies, SOPs, standards, and governance frameworks across all assets.
Conduct periodic security risk assessments and recommend mitigation measures.

Build a proactive security culture across the organization.
Physical Security Management
Oversee security operations across Commercial Assets, Development projects & corporate offices.
Ensure effective deployment of manpower, access control, surveillance, perimeter security, and visitor management systems.
Establish standards for CCTV systems, command centres, intrusion detection systems, and security technologies.
Evaluate and implement innovative security solutions and smart technologies.
Asset and Property Protection
Develop security measures to protect company assets, infrastructure, and critical facilities.
Ensure protection against theft, vandalism, trespassing, sabotage, and unauthorized access.
Monitor security performance across all properties through audits and inspections.
Investigate security incidents and implement corrective actions.
Crisis Management and Business Continuity
Lead emergency preparedness and response planning.
Establish and periodically test Emergency Response Plans (ERP), Disaster Management Plans (DMP), and Business Continuity Plans (BCP).
Act as Incident Commander during major emergencies.
Coordinate with emergency services, police, fire departments, and local authorities during crises.
Risk Management and Compliance
Conduct enterprise security risk assessments across the portfolio.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and security standards.
Support legal and compliance teams during investigations and litigation-related matters.
Maintain statutory security records and documentation.
Vendor and Contract Management
Manage security service providers and technology partners.
Develop security manpower deployment models and service level agreements.
Conduct performance reviews and security audits of contractors.
Drive service quality, productivity, and cost optimization.
Security Technology & Control Room Operations
Oversee centralized command centres and monitoring operations.

Analyse security trends and incident data for continuous improvement.
Stakeholder Management
Work closely with Property Management, Facilities, Leasing, HR, Legal, EHS, IT, Development and Operations teams.
Build strong relationships with tenants and key stakeholders.
Liaise with government authorities, police departments, intelligence agencies, and emergency responders.
Training and Development
Design and execute security training programs.
Conduct mock drills for fire, emergency evacuation, active threat, and disaster response scenarios.
Develop competency frameworks for security personnel.
Promote awareness programs for employees, tenants, and occupants.
Educational Qualification:
Bachelor's Degree in Security Management, Law, Défense, Criminal studies, Risk Management, Engineering, or related field.
MBA or Master's Degree preferred.
Professional Certifications (Preferred):
CPP (Certified Protection Professional)
PSP (Physical Security Professional)
Certified Security Management Professional
Crisis Management / Business Continuity Certifications
Fire & Life Safety Certifications
Experience and Skills
Years of progressive security leadership experience.
Minimum 8-10 years in a senior security leadership role.
Experience managing security operations across large commercial real estate portfolios, business parks, malls, mixed-use developments, or hospitality assets.
Prior experience in Armed Forces, Police, Paramilitary, Intelligence Services, or Corporate Security leadership is highly desirable.
Proven experience in crisis management, investigations, technology-driven security operations, and vendor management.
