About the Role
This role sits within the Corporate Research & Analysis (R&A) Team, supporting Corporate Banking across Australia. The team works closely with a diverse portfolio of large Mid-Market Enterprise (MME) clients across multiple industry sectors and is responsible for the end-to-end management of client credit portfolios.
The R&A Analyst will be responsible for managing an assigned portfolio through ongoing business and financial analysis, preparing industry sector reviews and credit memoranda, and supporting informed credit decision-making within acceptable risk parameters. The role provides exposure to the full relationship credit management lifecycle, including credit writing, risk grading, risk analysis, credit approval support, documentation, and portfolio monitoring.

What will your day look like?
As an Institutional Lead Research & Analysis Analyst, your accountabilities include:
Conduct research and analysis for corporate banking clients.
Assess and manage risks relating to clients' capital structures, management teams, and financial performance.
Prepare high-quality credit papers, including detailed financial analysis and industry research.
Support risk grading and risk event management activities.
Liaise with Relationship Managers and Credit teams on risk and financial performance matters.

Manage and monitor portfolios in line with agreed governance processes and controls.

Identify customer opportunities while maintaining sound risk management practices.
What will you bring?
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following ;
3 to 6 years of experience in Credit Analysis, Corporate Banking, Financial Analysis, or related research roles.
Strong credit analysis fundamentals and financial statement analysis skills.
Sound business and commercial acumen.
Excellent report writing and analytical skills.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Ability to build effective relationships and influence decisions.
Chartered Accountant (CA), MBA (Finance) from a premier institution, or Master's degree in Economics, Finance, or a related discipline.
