This Position reports to:

R&D Global Unit Lead

Your role and responsibilities:

ABB is seeking an experienced Facility Specialist to oversee the operations, maintenance, and safety of our R&D Competence Center and Laboratory facilities. This role is critical to ensuring a safe, efficient, and world-class environment for research, development, and innovation activities.

This role is contributing to the Electrification business Smart Power Division in Hyderabad, India.

You will be mainly accountable for:

- Manage daily facility operations including DG sets, UPS, Solar Installations, compressors, LT Panels & different types of switch gears distribution and power Transformers, chillers, HVAC Systems, BMS, LMS, AHUs, Security systems (CCTVs, Access Management systems, PA Systems), and building infrastructure

- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment/systems and Maintain detailed facility documentation and records

- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations (HSE)

- Coordinate with external contractors for specialized maintenance and repairs

- Manage facility budgets and control operational costs

- Maintain inventory of spare parts, equipment, and supplies

- Respond to emergency situations and coordinate urgent repairs

- Monitor and optimize energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives

- Support facility expansion and improvement projects

- Manage housekeeping, waste management, and environmental compliance

Qualifications for the role

- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
