Key Responsibilities:
Engineering Support
Development and design of all the LV and MV electrical aspects of renewable energy plant and HV evacuation infrastructure basic design (10% stage) occasionally.
Conduct electrical engineering design studies including Load Flow, Short Circuit, Grounding, Insulation Coordination, MV Cable Sizing (Thermal Ampacity), DC/AC LV Cable Sizing, Protection coordination, control and operation philosophy,… as well as collaboration with cross-functional teams (internal and external) to ensure grid compliance.
Cooperate with Grid team to properly specify every project particular requirement on grid code compliance.
Conduct LV/MV components sizing’s for renewable energy plants as cables, Transformers, Switchgears, etc.
Preparation of relevant project deliverables such as scopes of work, equipment specifications, connection and interconnection layouts, technical notes and decision papers to support concept, pre-feed, feed and execution phases through review and approval of the works.
Review and approve electrical technical documents issued by the EPC contractor relating to the generation plant throughout all phases (30%, 60% & IFC) of the assigned project.
Assures compliance with the agreed LSBP requirements, Engineering Technical Practices and Industry Standards and continuous improvement of Functional Technical Specifications, Standards, Certifications, Digital files, and Data Sheets for Electrical Equipment’s and Electrical Systems, including scope of supply, technical and QA/QC requirements, design requirements, H&S guidelines, etc.

Support technically the Project Development and Project Acquisition processes including the review of design proposals and third-party reports on electrical matters.
Support the contractual negotiation with EPC regarding technical areas such as electrical engineering, equipment specifications, testing, ...
Support technically the AM and O&M activity of the projects, with focus on fault analysis and trouble shooting
Business Support
Identify supplier development and improvement opportunities in coordination with Procurement, Digitalization and Asset Services teams,
Conduct the technical review of Electrical Design in tendering projects or portfolio of projects in alignment with relevant stakeholders like Procurement, Legal, Construction, Grid and Asset Services to ensure best value for LSbp,
Ensure that Electrical equipment’s have been designed, installed, tested and commissioned as per company requirements to meet QSE, Utility and any competent Authority requirements, in close coordination with Construction, Asset Services, Digitalization and IT teams,
Support the Asset Services teams throughout the life of the facility to maintain reliability of the PV
Asset on the grid, as well as ongoing support to critical Electrical issues and configuration

Work Experience
Relevant Experience Required:
Degree or master’s degree in electrical / power engineering
8+ years of experience in the electrical power systems industry.
Significant amount of professional experience in technical roles in the electrical marketplace or equivalent, preferably in the power generation industry.
Strong interest in renewable energy. International working experience or in projects globally, both in projects under IEC and ANSI standards.
Fluent English spoken and written. Additional languages is a plus.
Proactive and being able to prioritize workload.
Autonomous, adaptable and multi-skilled.

Able to promote a positive working culture within the team.
Strong organizational and good communication skills both verbal and written
Knowledge & Experience
12+ years working experience.
Experience of working knowledge of engineering, construction and commissioning of renewable power plants, LV/MV substations and LV/MV equipment including switchgear, transformers, protections, underground/OH lines and other equipment’s.
Experience in power systems for conventional or renewable installations, including MV reactive power compensation equipment’s.
Experience of electrical system design and familiarity with latest electrical related calculation methodologies for LV/MV equipment such as AC/DC cables, grounding and earthing design, protections calculation, reactive power compensation & battery banks.
Desirable experience with HV substation designs for Australian & US Market mainly, technologies (AIS/GIS), HV equipment’s, SLD’s, Layout configurations and control and protection systems.
Experience in with wind, solar and storage system technologies and strategies for renewable applications.
Strong working knowledge with IEC/AUS-NZ regulations and standards
Desirable familiarity with IEEE, ANSI, NEMA, NFPA, NEC standards, grid codes in Australia-NZ, different US jurisdictions, grid connection applications, agreements, offers and PPA’s. is a plus.
Experience of electrical power systems modelling. Experience in detail electrical system design using specialized calculation software such as ETAP and CYMCAP. Desirable familiarity with Digsilent Power Factory, PSS/E, PSCAD, XGSLab or similar.
On site installation, testing and commissioning experience of renewable generation installations, LV/M V Substations and MV OHL/UGL is a key advantage.
Strong computer skills, including familiarity with web-based systems and software tools, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), Autocad, ArcGis and Database Management software.
Desirable experience in a similar role with international design and engineering companies in the field of renewable energy handling multiple projects simultaneously in different times zones.
