Position Summary
The Director, Compensation - North America will lead the strategy, design, administration, and continuous improvement of compensation programs across the United States and Canada. This leader will partner with HR, Finance, Legal, Talent Acquisition, and business leadership to ensure programs are market competitive, compliant, operationally efficient, and aligned with onsemi’s business objectives.
This role requires a hands-on compensation leader with deep expertise in market pricing, job architecture, salary administration, incentive design, pay transparency, and governance. The Director will help attract and retain talent across engineering, technical, manufacturing, professional, and leadership populations while supporting growth, performance, and fiscal discipline.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, administration, and governance of North America compensation programs, including base pay, salary structures, annual merit planning, short-term incentives, sign-on and retention programs, job architecture, market pricing, and leadership compensation support.
- Ensure compensation programs remain competitive across semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, engineering, technical, operations, and corporate talent markets.
- Develop strategies that support attraction, retention, employee engagement, business performance, and fiscal discipline.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Finance, and business leaders on offers, promotions, internal movement, retention, organizational design, pay transparency, and internal equity.
