Job Title Credit Risk Underwriter
What you will need to do:
Conduct underwriting of new retail relationships for all entity types Conduct periodic annual reviews of all retail entities Monitor relationships for the presence of reputational and other risks Ensure partner compliance with Credit Policy and Retail ISO Program Standards Annual and ongoing audit of the Periodic Review, Registration, ISO, and Integrated Partners databases to ensure that all active entities are registered and in a review cycle Manage removal of Inactive User IDs and provide backup for the creation of new User IDs for MAI, CARS, and IDS (Integrated Dispute System) systems Provide on demand MATCH diligence searches and review for Card Compliance as needed Manage, update, and upload monthly Retail ISO OFAC files for consistent screening Manage Monthly Retail ISO Alerts for variances in portfolio composition and chargeback levels
Experience you'll need to have:
3+ years of experience in credit risk, underwriting, merchant processing, financial services, or a related risk evaluation environment 2+ years of experience reviewing individual and business credit reports and applying findings to risk-based decisions 2+ years of experience working in a client-facing role with sales partners, merchants, processors, or similar external stakeholders 2+ years of experience using Microsoft Office Suite to document reviews, manage workflows, and communicate findings Ability to assess application quality, interpret supporting documentation, and use third-party verification tools to evaluate business legitimacy and credit exposure Bachelor's degree in finance, business, accounting, economics, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience
Experience that would be great to have: Experience in the merchant processing industry Knowledge of card brand rules and regulations Experience supporting underwriting workflows tied to service level agreement (SLA) performance Experience evaluating small business or merchant application documentation
