CPU Software Engineer staff

- 9+ years of Software Engineering or related experience.

- Excellent in programming using C/C++/Assembly/Python/Javascript.

- In-depth Understanding of software stack - Linux Internals/device drivers.

- Strong understanding of Computer architecture and Operating system concepts.

- Strong problem solving skills - look at big picture and unorthodox ways to solve challenging performance problems

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

OR

Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

• 2+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

- Leverages knowledge of CPU Architecture to develop and/or optimize Software for high performance and low power.

- Run benchmarks for applications and performs critical pre- and post-silicon verification to ensure performance and power goals are met.

- Develops new benchmarks for upcoming areas and workloads across product segments

- Understands software workloads at next level (libraries, compiler, assembly, runtime, algorithms) and evaluates optimization opportunities

- Collaborates with internal (CPU, Compiler, Kernel) and external (benchmark vendors, open source community) teams to implement solutions that meet CPU performance requirements.
