The Applications Development Senior Manager is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department in an effort to establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to drive applications systems analysis and programming activities.
Responsibilities:
Technical Lead to manage development of regional/global applications
Utilize in-depth knowledge and skills across multiple Applications Development areas to provide technical oversight across systems and applications
Write excellent-quality code based on functional requirements, while meeting agile implementation deadlines.
Review and analyze proposed technical solutions for projects
Contribute to concept models, design and system architectures
Build, deploy, and test application components in a development environment during the implementation phase working with all layers of the application stac
Providing expertise in technical analysis and solving technical issues during project delivery
Maintain application hygiene and address any Risk & Control items
Manage Senior Stake holders and always communicate effectively and professionally
Work closely with Project Managers, Business Analysts and Operational users / Product mangers to deliver projects
Provide technical and functional expertise to the team

Work proactively & independently to address project requirements, and articulate issues/challenges with enough lead time to address project delivery risks
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Recommended Qualifications:
13+ years of experience in software design and development, with a focus on .NET technologies. Proven experience in developing and optimizing multi-threaded applications.
Strong knowledge of system integration and experience with various integration patterns.
Hands-on experience with DevOps practices and tools.
Expertise in SQL Server, including database design, optimization, and performance tuning.
Experience with microservices architecture and related technologies
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Master’s degree preferred
