Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Record-to-Report (R2R) Associate with 4–6 years of experience to join our Finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the month-end and year-end close process. The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, and possesses strong communication skills.
Journal Entries:
Prepare and post standard and ad-hoc journal entries in accordance with established accounting principles and company policies. Ensure proper documentation and supporting evidence accompany each entry.
Month-End & Year-End Closing:
Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including account reconciliations, accruals, and adjustments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate completion of the closing process.
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
Assist in the preparation of financial statements, variance analysis, and management reports. Identify discrepancies and escalate issues with clear documentation and proposed solutions.
Reconciliations:
Perform periodic reconciliations of general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy, including bank, intercompany, and balance sheet accounts. Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Process Improvement:
Support initiatives to automate and streamline R2R processes, including the adoption of new financial systems or enhancements to existing tools. Contribute to the development and refinement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in the R2R domain.
Audit & Compliance:
Assist internal and external auditors during audit reviews by providing required documentation. Ensure compliance with internal controls as defined by the client. Skill Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting/Finance. 4–6 years of experience in record-to-report functions, ideally within a shared services environment. Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, or equivalent) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail. Effective communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Knowledge of internal controls, audit processes, and relevant accounting standards.
