About the Role
The Senior Programming & Development Manager, Twitch Rivals will be a competitive entertainment expert who is passionate about creator-focused content. You can derive insights from data sets and trends that influence a content strategy and framework, and are comfortable having content development conversations with some of the biggest creators, brands, and publishers in gaming. You will report to the Director of Production and Events, and will coordinate closely with our current content, sales, business development, and community teams.
You will follow gaming trends, define key elements needed for event planning, collaborate with diverse teams, build on our partnership with game publishers, get stakeholder approval, provide direction to vendors responsible for the production of each broadcast, and produce post-event reports. You are a passionate community member for a few games, understand broad gaming mechanics, competitions structures, and can pick up a new game and understand how it could translate into a Twitch Rivals competition.
You Will
Develop and program the Twitch Rivals calendar and help produce competitive entertainment that is exciting and satisfying to creators and the gaming communities they love
Assist in the development of the Twitch Rivals program strategy & ensure the execution is aligned
Review event data and present opportunities for improvement to the team
Work with production vendors to ensure they are building events based on pre-determined priorities (publisher, streamer, brand)
Write and manage event briefs to ensure the Community Originals team has all the most up-to-date information on a show

Basic qualifications
6+ years of experience in esports, professional sports, and / or gaming related events
Worked with sales organizations either in a pre-sale or post-sale capacity ideating or activating unique brand focused ideas
Experience with a variety of different games and gaming mechanics
Strong verbal communication and experience presenting and pitching programs or products
An intrinsic motivation to dig into the details, and understand how to communicate strategy and intent through comprehensive documentation
Preferred qualifications
You know the differences between games within similar genres (i.e. tactical FPS vs hero FPS)
You have used or streamed on Twitch and / or are aware of Twitch’s influence on gaming and culture
You currently follow or have a favorite streamer

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
