About the Role
As a Sr. Automation QA Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and reviewing automated solutions, delivering high-quality tests and code contributions. You will be responsible for creating and executing test plans, design, and implementation of the automation framework to support multiple products. As a Sr. Automation QA Engineer, you will also contribute to a variety of areas including:
Designing and building test structures that are easily maintainable, resilient, performant, and scalable across multiple products.
Working with Product Managers and Engineers to clarify requirements and translate them into test plans.
Writing and executing Playwright-based functional tests that cover critical user scenarios and workflows.
Writing thorough tests that cover edge cases with appropriate ROI for velocity and quality.
Leveraging AI-assisted tooling to accelerate test script creation, maintenance, and refactoring, improving test coverage and reducing manual upkeep.
Using AI to analyze test failures, suggest root causes, and recommend fixes, working with technical staff to ensure root causes are investigated and resolved.
Applying MCP (Model Context Protocol) to connect Claude with requirements systems, defect trackers, and test execution logs for full-context analysis.
Collaborating with software development team to design and implement the automation framework needs and recommending Application improvements.

Leading technical decisions on test automation architecture and framework direction, including evaluation and adoption of new tools, techniques, and practices.
Preparing project status report and management review reports and participate in project review, quality review and audit with the various stakeholders.
Functional testing levels may include application integration, system, system/network integration and acceptance testing; may also include non-functional testing such as performance, volume, load, and fallback.
Providing leadership and mentorship to QA team members by guiding skill development, assigning work, and ensuring quality across functional, non-functional, and other testing activities.
Identifying opportunities for improvement in current processes and implement new processes/tools.
Using innovative ideas to support and expand Quality Assurance deliverables.
About You
You’re a good fit for the role of Sr. Automation QA Engineer if you have/are:
Minimum 7 years' experience in Quality Assurance
Advanced proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript, with deep experience designing clean, modular, reusable, and maintainable code for scalable test automation
Required: Hands-on experience with Playwright for web application test automation
Advanced experience evaluating and applying AI tools/technologies (e.g., AI-assisted test generation, self-healing scripts, code-completion tools) to reduce test maintenance overhead and accelerate script creation at scale
Experience leading or mentoring QA engineers
Comprehensive understanding of test methodologies and techniques
Familiar in building Test Automation Frameworks from the ground up
Experience working in agile development environment
Experience with Backend and Frontend testing and automation
Have a systematic, disciplined, and analytical approach
Ability to achieve results with broad performance guidelines
Ability to handle a variety of activities simultaneously and to adapt to often changing priorities in accordance with organizational needs
Ability to devote high levels of effort and to work under tight deadlines
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. National Security Clearance.
U.S. Citizenship essential to comply with government contract/agency or department of Federal Government requirements.
