The Role
The Treasury Accounting Manager is a high-impact role within the External Reporting and Specialist Accounting team, leading treasury accounting for the Group’s financing and capital structure. You will lead a small team (1 direct report and c.4 offshore FTEs via Genpact), and partner closely with Corporate Treasury, Group Finance and external auditors. The role also deputises for the Director of Treasury Accounting. This is a specialist role requiring strong treasury accounting expertise and the ability to manage complex, judgement-heavy accounting areas, including financial instruments and multi-entity structures. In addition to the above, the role will also include the following:
Treasury & Financial Instruments Accounting
Accounting and reporting for the Group’s financing and capital-raising entities
Account for complex financial instruments, including debt, FX and related treasury balances
Own month-end close activities, including journals, trial balance and supporting analysis
Deliver high-quality balance sheet reconciliations, with clear insight and movement analysis

Ensure accurate and timely submission into the Group consolidation system
Support the preparation of statutory accounts and group financial statement treasury related disclosures.
Partner with External Reporting and auditors on treasury-related disclosures and judgements
Controls & Governance
Maintain a strong SOX-aligned control environment, ensuring all controls are executed effectively and on time
Support audit processes and act as a key contact for treasury accounting matters
Drive continuous improvement in processes, controls and documentation
Stakeholder and Systems Management
Partner closely with Corporate Treasury, Group Finance and auditors
Provide clear, confident communication of technical accounting matters and judgements
Continuously review processes and systems to identify opportunities for improvement, simplification and automation.
Why You? What we are looking for:
University Degree in Finance, Accountancy, or ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent
8–12 years of relevant experience in finance, with at least 4–6 years of exposure to treasury accounting, financial instruments, or audit
Strong knowledge of derivative instruments, financing structures and hedge accounting
Strong Excel skills; experience with treasury management systems, SAP or similar tools
Experience operating in a multi-entity, international environment
Exposure to financial statements and disclosures relating to treasury activities
Strong controls mindset, with 3–5 years of experience in SOX or equivalent control frameworks
Experience working with external auditors on complex accounting matters
