Job Title: TGT Chemistry TeacherDepartment: AcademicsReports To: Head of Department (Science) / PrincipalKey Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver Chemistry lessons according to the prescribed curriculum.
- Teach topics in Physical, Organic, and Inorganic Chemistry with conceptual clarity.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and teaching aids.
- Conduct laboratory experiments and demonstrations while ensuring safety procedures.
- Evaluate students through tests, assignments, projects, and practical assessments.
- Maintain attendance records, marks, and student progress reports.
- Provide remedial coaching and doubt-clearing sessions for weaker students.
- Encourage scientific thinking, problem-solving, and inquiry-based learning.
- Use digital teaching tools such as smart boards and educational software.
- Participate in examinations, parent-teacher meetings (PTMs), workshops, and school activities.
- Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment.Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's Degree (B.Sc.) in Chemistry or a related Science subject.
- Minimum 3+ yrs of experience in teaching grades 8 to 10
- B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) from a recognized institution.
- CTET/TET qualification may be required for government schools.
- Teaching experience is preferred but not always mandatory.Required Skills
- Strong subject knowledge in Chemistry.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Classroom management and student engagement abilities.
- Lesson planning and assessment skills.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures.
- Basic computer and educational technology skills.
