Job Title: TGT Chemistry TeacherDepartment: AcademicsReports To: Head of Department (Science) / PrincipalKey Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver Chemistry lessons according to the prescribed curriculum.
• Teach topics in Physical, Organic, and Inorganic Chemistry with conceptual clarity.
• Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and teaching aids.
• Conduct laboratory experiments and demonstrations while ensuring safety procedures.
• Evaluate students through tests, assignments, projects, and practical assessments.
• Maintain attendance records, marks, and student progress reports.
• Provide remedial coaching and doubt-clearing sessions for weaker students.
• Encourage scientific thinking, problem-solving, and inquiry-based learning.
• Use digital teaching tools such as smart boards and educational software.
• Participate in examinations, parent-teacher meetings (PTMs), workshops, and school activities.
• Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment.Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's or master's Degree (B.Sc.) in Chemistry or a related Science subject.
• Minimum 3+ yrs of experience in teaching grades 8 to 10
• B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) from a recognized institution.
• CTET/TET qualification may be required for government schools.
• Teaching experience is preferred but not always mandatory.Required Skills
• Strong subject knowledge in Chemistry.
• Effective communication and presentation skills.
• Classroom management and student engagement abilities.
• Lesson planning and assessment skills.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures.
• Basic computer and educational technology skills.
