Role Description The Team Lead Study Abroad will oversee a team of counselors and coordinators, ensuring high-quality guidance for students planning to study overseas. This full-time, on-site role is based in Gurugram and requires close collaboration with students, parents, universities, and internal teams. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing inquiries, assigning cases, monitoring application progress, and ensuring timely follow-up with prospective students. The Team Lead will review student profiles, recommend suitable universities and programs, and support the team in preparing compelling applications and supporting documents. The role also involves conducting counseling sessions, seminars, and webinars, and maintaining updated knowledge of global education systems, admission requirements, and visa processes. In addition, the Team Lead will track performance metrics, train team members, resolve escalations, and contribute to process improvements and business growth initiatives. Qualifications
- Proven experience in study abroad counseling, international education, or student advisory services, preferably in a team lead or senior counselor role.
- Strong leadership abilities, including team supervision, performance monitoring, coaching, and conflict resolution.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, parents, and institutional partners.
- In-depth understanding of international education systems, admission processes, standardized tests, and student visa requirements for major destinations (e.g., US, UK, Canada, Australia, Europe).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple student cases and deadlines simultaneously.
- Comfort with CRM tools, MS Office or Google Workspace, and maintaining accurate records and reports.
- Bachelors degree in any discipline; a masters degree or qualification in education, counseling, or management is an advantage.
- Customer-centric mindset, ethical approach to counseling, and a commitment to inclusivity and equal opportunity for all students.
- Ability to work on-site in Gurugram and be flexible with working hours during peak admission seasons.
