About the job
Location:North Bangalore Roles & Responsibilities:
- Facilitate and deliver engaging ATL (Atal Tinkering Lab) sessions for middle and secondary school students.
- Foster creativity, innovation, and problem-solving through hands-on, project-based learning.
- Guide students in STEM-related activities, including robotics, electronics, coding, 3D printing, and prototyping.
- Encourage students to identify real-world challenges and develop innovative solutions using design thinking methodologies.
- Support students in project planning, execution, documentation, testing, and presentation.
- Promote collaboration, teamwork, communication, and entrepreneurial thinking among students.
- Maintain ATL equipment, tools, and resources, ensuring safe and effective usage.
- Assist the Lead Educator/Academic Head with administrative and academic responsibilities as required.
- Integrate educational technology and digital tools into classroom instruction.
- Participate actively in professional development programs and school initiatives.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Creativity, innovation, and design-thinking mindset.
- Hands-on experience with STEM tools and technologies such as robotics kits, microcontrollers, sensors, and 3D printers.
- Basic to intermediate coding and programming skills.
- Project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to conduct research and apply findings to student projects.
- Adaptability, resilience, and a willingness to learn emerging technologies.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Commitment to ethical and responsible innovation practices.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline such as Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
- Minimum 24 years of teaching experience in a school environment.
- Experience with ICSE, ISC, IGCSE, CBSE, or similar curricula is preferred.
- Strong subject knowledge and practical STEM exposure.
- Tech-savvy with proficiency in educational technology and digital tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
