About the RoleThe role involves managing end-to-end application packaging requests and ensuring quality assurance of each application according to company standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage end to end application packaging request: request validation pre-packaging build smoke test repository publishing SQA testing UAT production rollout (Intune/SCCM).
• Execute enterprise packaging processes such as PRF/source validation, complexity assessment in ServiceNow, Application Owner communication, dependency review, UAT machine/user readiness, upgrade/retirement logic, and compliance with packaging standards.
• Manage production rollouts via CRs, wave-based deployments, maintenance window alignment, maker-checker validation, and rollback governance.
• Perform comprehensive install/uninstall/upgrade/rollback testing across Windows 11, macOS etc. ensuring zero-defect readiness prior to UAT.
• Conduct detailed source validation, OS compatibility testing, allowed/disallowed components review, sequencing/dependency analysis, and installer behavior assessment using clean VM builds.
• Create and customize MSI/MSIX/App-V/PKG packages using AdminStudio/InstallShield following silent install and uninstall rules.
• Perform QA to integrate testing, ensure quality gate adherence, maintain standards, and provide packaging deliverables that meet enterprise security and compliance guidelines.
• Manage UAT lifecycle: Prepare UAT environment, validate deployment in UAT, communicate readiness, support Application Owner/business testing, track issues, capture sign-off.
• Troubleshoot packaging or deployment failures using tools like ProcMon, CMTrace, Event Viewer, and support remediation during testing, UAT, pilot, and production rollout phases.
• Perform monthly vulnerability reviews of critical applications by checking vendor websites, downloading updated versions, raising packaging requests, testing updated builds, and deploying it to devices.
• Maintain documentation accuracy including packaging records, version history, install steps, dependency details, ServiceNow updates, CR evidence, and repository hygiene.
• Support lifecycle management by identifying obsolete/redundant applications, coordinating retirement, tracking vendor updates, and contributing to process improvement initiatives driven by KPIs and SLAs.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Flexera AdminStudio, InstallShield and standardized packaging templates.
