We are looking for a Senior Engagement Manager to lead and deliver complex, multi-workstream cloud transformation programs for AWS Professional Services (ProServe) India. In this role, you will own the end-to-end delivery lifecycle of large and complex customer engagements, shaping cloud strategies, driving business outcomes, and acting as a trusted advisor to senior customer stakeholders. The ideal candidate is an experienced program leader with deep IT consulting expertise, a proven track record in delivering complex technical programs across enterprise customers, and the ability to navigate ambiguity with limited guidance. You thrive in a fast-paced, growth environment, insist on incredibly high standards, and are passionate about mentoring others and scaling delivery best practices across teams. You will lead matrixed teams of AWS consultants, partners, and customer resources across multiple workstreams simultaneously. You are expected to drive delivery excellence, maximize engagement value, manage risks proactively, and serve as a force multiplier for your peers and the broader organization. You will actively contribute to pre-sales, build deep customer trust, and leverage AI/GenAI to drive delivery innovation. In this capacity you will be based in India and are expected to travel occasionally (30-40%). You will report into the India ProServe Engagement Management Delivery Practice Manager.
Key job responsibilities
- Own and lead end-to-end delivery of complex, multi-workstream cloud transformation programs, ensuring business outcomes are achieved within schedule, scope, and financial constraints.
- Shape and validate cloud delivery strategies for complex engagements, applying frameworks such as the Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF), Well-Architected Framework (WAF), and Engagement Delivery Framework (EDF).
- Serve as a strategic advisor to senior customer stakeholders, leading steering committees, driving alignment, and building deep trusted relationships.
- Proactively identify, manage, and escalate risks and issues; develop and execute mitigation plans; redirect distressed programs to delight customers.
- Maximize engagement value by negotiating conditions of acceptance, managing scope changes, and amending contractual terms within project constraints.
