The center also encourages continuous learning and professional growth for its staff. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Speech Therapist role based in Hyderabad. The Speech Therapist will assess children with autism and related conditions to identify speech, language, and communication needs using standardized tools and clinical observations. Daily responsibilities include planning and delivering individualized and group speech therapy sessions, focusing on communication goals, articulation, comprehension, social communication, and functional language. The role involves managing cases with communication and language disorders, addressing feeding and swallowing issues when appropriate, and maintaining accurate documentation of assessments, therapy plans, and progress reports. The Speech Therapist will collaborate closely with families, caregivers, behavior therapists, occupational therapists, and other team members, provide caregiver training and home program guidance, and participate in team meetings and case reviews. The role may also include contributing to program development, participating in training initiatives, and supporting awareness activities related to autism and communication. Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Speech Therapy, including assessment, diagnosis, and intervention planning for children with neurodevelopmental conditions.
- Hands-on experience working with Speech and Communication Disorders, particularly in pediatric or autism-focused settings.
- Knowledge and skills in managing Language Disorders, including receptive and expressive language delays and social communication challenges.
- Experience or training in evaluating and treating Dysphagia or feeding and swallowing difficulties in children is an advantage.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent, with relevant national or state licensure/registration as required.
- Ability to design individualized therapy plans, set measurable goals, and monitor progress using evidence-based approaches.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and engage with families in a respectful, culturally sensitive manner.
- Comfort working in an on-site, pediatric clinical environment and willingness to participate in case conferences, training, and continuous professional development.
