This role is part of the Enterprise ServiceNow and Digital Risk Solutions team, responsible for designing, developing, and implementing ServiceNow Integrated Risk Management (IRM) and Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) solutions.
Specialist IS Engineer - ServiceNow IRM/TPRM will lead full-cycle implementations and enhancements across vendor risk and system risk domains. This role will design scalable, automated, and user-centric risk management workflows that support the complete vendor lifecycle — from onboarding and tiering to assessments, ongoing monitoring, and remediation.
The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on development expertise within the ServiceNow platform, particularly IRM and TPRM modules, combined with deep knowledge of enterprise risk, compliance, and regulatory frameworks. This role partners closely with IRM, GRC, security, compliance, and business stakeholders to ensure risk solutions align with Amgen’s enterprise governance strategy.
Roles & Responsibilities
Serve as the ServiceNow IRM/TPRM Solution Architect, defining scalable architecture, data models, integration patterns, and technical design standards aligned with enterprise risk management objectives
Act as the ServiceNow Platform Administrator, managing instance configuration, upgrades, patching, access controls, role-based permissions, governance policies, and overall platform health
4+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience, including full-cycle implementation in ServiceNow IRM and Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) modules
Design, configure, and implement the ServiceNow IRM and TPRM modules to support the full vendor and system risk lifecycle, from onboarding and assessments through continuous monitoring and remediation
Define architectural standards for risk data structures, vendor tiering frameworks, scoring methodologies, and control libraries to ensure consistency and scalability

Lead technical design reviews, ensure adherence to ServiceNow best practices, and provide governance over customizations and integrations
Build and customize vendor and system risk workflows, questionnaires, Smart Assessments, and risk scoring models to enable effective vendor tiering and compliance assessments
Develop and enhance Management Workspaces, Service Portal, and UI Builder components to deliver intuitive, role-based user experiences
Automate and streamline processes using Flow Designer, Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, Record Producers, UI Policies, IntegrationHub, and Glide APIs
Design and manage integrations with third-party systems (e.g., security tools, ERP, procurement platforms, CMDB) to enable end-to-end risk visibility
Create dashboards, reports, and KPIs that provide visibility into risk posture, control effectiveness, vendor risk exposure, and remediation progress
Establish and enforce platform governance, security controls, data integrity standards, and change management processes
Partner with IRM, GRC, security, compliance, procurement, and enterprise architecture teams to align technical solutions with regulatory frameworks and enterprise risk strategy
Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to developers and administrators while driving continuous improvement of the ServiceNow platform
- Certifications: ServiceNow CSA, CIS-RC, CIS-TPRM or CAD
If certifications are not already held, the candidate should be willing and able to obtain it within 6 months of joining
Basic Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience
Minimum Required Experience:
8 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience
Proven full-cycle implementation experience in ServiceNow IRM and TPRM modules
If certifications are not already held, the candidate must be willing and able to obtain relevant ServiceNow certifications within 6 months of joining.
