ABOUT THE ROLE
We are hiring passionate and qualified Special Education Teachers to join a leading Special Education school in Singapore. You will work directly with students aged 718 with moderate to severe autism, delivering structured, evidence-based learning in a supportive classroom environment. NOTE FOR INDIA-BASED CANDIDATES: Professionals holding an RCI-Recognised Special Educator qualification including those with titles such as Resource Teacher, Rehabilitation Teacher, or RCI-Registered Special Educator are encouraged to apply. WHAT YOU'LL DO: Plan and deliver engaging, evidence-based lessons tailored to students with moderate to severe autism. Formulate and implement data-driven Individualised Education Plans (IEP) and Transition Plans (ITP) in partnership with families and allied professionals. Monitor student progress through appropriate assessments and provide timely feedback. Design and maintain positive classroom routines that ensure a safe and structured learning environment. Apply behaviour management techniques and implement behaviour support plans for students with complex needs. Collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to support student well-being and community transition. Participate in school programmes, professional learning teams, and co-curricular activities. Manage daily administrative tasks including attendance, communication with caregivers, and record-keeping. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR: Degree in Special Education from a recognised university, with a practicum component (e.g. B.Ed. Special Education Autism / Intellectual Disability). RCI-recognised qualification is mandatory for candidates from India (e.g. RCI-Registered Special Educator). Minimum 3 years of relevant experience working with individuals with moderate to severe autism in a school or classroom setting. Hands-on experience with IEP/ITP planning and implementation. Strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Growth mindset, adaptability, and a genuine commitment to student development. COMPENSATION & PROCESS: Salary: S$3,200 S$4,000/month, based on qualifications and experience.
