The Role The CoE – Digital Twin is a global Center-of-Excellence role responsible for defining, standardizing, and governing Digital Twin frameworks for AI-ready and hyperscale data centers. This role serves as the technical authority for creating virtual replicas of physical data center infrastructure, enabling simulation, predictive analytics, and lifecycle optimization. The position ensures that design data, as-built documentation, real-time telemetry, and operational workflows are unified into a continuously updated digital representation of the data center. The role establishes global standards for digital modeling, data integration, and simulation methodologies that support planning, risk reduction, and operational intelligence. This individual collaborates with design, engineering, IT, and operations teams to ensure digital twins are accurate, scalable, and secure. The role supports greenfield builds, modernization programs, and AI cluster expansions where predictive capacity planning and scenario modeling are critical. This is a strategic role shaping how future AI data centers are planned, simulated, and optimized using digital engineering. Key Responsibilities: Define and govern global Digital Twin standards for data centers Develop digital replicas of data center facilities and infrastructure Integrate BIM models, as-built data, and asset documentation into digital platforms Establish data models and digital representation frameworks Integrate real-time telemetry from BMS/DCIM into digital twins Enable simulation for capacity planning and expans
Key Responsibilities
Enable simulation for capacity planning and expansion scenarios Support predictive maintenance and risk modeling Develop scenario-based failure simulations and impact analysis Support thermal, energy, and airflow simulations Define lifecycle data integration from design to operations Establish data quality and validation frameworks Develop integration frameworks using APIs and data pipelines Support AI-driven analytics and optimization use cases Evaluate digital twin platforms and technology solutions Collaborate with controls and analytics teams for data alignment Support sustainability and carbon impact simulations Develop reusable modeling templates and playbooks Support customer workshops and digital twin demonstrations Provide technical input for RFPs and solution proposals Drive adoption of digital engineering practices globally Mentor teams on digital twin best practices Continuously evolve modeling standards and methodologies Qualifications & Experience 10-12 years in data center design, engineering, or digital engineering Exposure to digital twin or simulation platforms Experience integrating operational data into analytics platforms Familiarity with APIs and data integration concepts Experience in hyperscale or AI data center environments preferred Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong documentation and presentation skills
