A Day in the Life
As an Engineering Manager, you will lead and enable multiple software engineering functions, including Development and Test, to deliver high-quality software products in a regulated environment. You will balance execution, people leadership, technical strategy, and organizational priorities while ensuring predictable delivery, product quality, and compliance with applicable standards. In this role, you will collaborate closely with architects, product management, quality, regulatory, and engineering teams to drive technical direction, align development efforts with product roadmaps and user needs, and build strong stakeholder partnerships that enable successful program execution and long-term platform evolution.
You will lead software engineers and technical leads across multiple engineering functions, providing people leadership, execution oversight, technical guidance, and organizational development while fostering a culture of quality, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Proven experience working with cross-functional software engineering teams, including Development, Test/QA, and DevOps functions.
- Strong background in medical device software or other regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, life sciences, automotive, aerospace, industrial automation), with a solid understanding of compliance, quality, and product development processes.
- Proven experience leading software engineering teams developing desktop applications, including Windows-based solutions using technologies such as WPF, WinForms, WinUI, C++, .NET, or similar desktop application frameworks.
- Experience developing software for connected medical devices, patient monitoring systems, device interoperability solutions, or real-time data acquisition platforms.
