The Cisco Wireless Feature & System Engineering team builds end-to-end wireless capabilities across access points, controllers, and cloud-managed platforms. We design features that span device software, control planes, and management systems to deliver seamless, secure, and high-performance enterprise Wi-Fi.
Your Impact
As a Wireless Radio Software Engineer, you will own development and integration of radio firmware and driver components, enable Wi-Fi features and ensuring system-level performance and reliability. Design and implement radio firmware and driver features, Wi-Fi feature development and integration, Debug complex issues across firmware, driver, and system layers, Analyze RF behavior, packet flows, and protocol interactions, Work closely with chipset vendors to resolve firmware/driver issues, Contribute to system-level validation and performance optimization, Apply AI-assisted tools to accelerate development, debugging, and analysis
Minimum Qualifications
- Have MS + 3 years or BS + 5 years of experience
- Strong C/C++ programming skills
- Good understanding of 802.11 protocols and wireless features
- Experience with driver or firmware-level development
- Ability to debug across multiple layers (firmware → driver → system)
- Strong understanding of networking and packet-level behavior
- Can own features development end-to-end
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Qualcomm/Broadcom/MediaTek platforms
- Experience with packet capture, RF debugging, or performance tuning
- Exposure to upstream driver contributions
