The Pre Station Planning Technology team is one of the critical teams supporting and enabling Last Mile operations for Amazon Worldwide. We build software for demand forecasting, capacity planning, jurisdiction and topology management and fleet planning among other areas. All of these services help estimate the precise number of stations, vehicles, drivers and routes to deliver billions of packages to customers worldwide and have a high impact on cost as well as deliver efficiency. We are looking for a SDE with exceptional technical skills and a passion for delivering great software to join our team. As a member of this team, you will be responsible to own and deliver highly visible, innovative projects that directly impact the customer experience. You will be involved in driving the technical and architectural vision for a planning team that touches every Amazon package, as well as all the aspects of the software development cycle including scoping, design, implementation, testing & delivery of our product. Key job responsibilities Define, design, and implement multi-tier distributed software applications. Estimate engineering effort, plan implementation, and rollout system changes that meet requirements for functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, and adherence to development goals. Must be able to design code and test major features, as well as work jointly with other team members to deliver complex changes. A day in life of an SDE-II will be leveraging Gen-AI toolset identify opportunities to help planners in building scalable systems, ensure systems we build are resilient and we will be able to server our customers in delivering amazon packages worldwide.
